4th-5th grade campers will spend three days learning all about the aquatic world at the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park, then spend two days at TRAC exploring ponds, wetlands, and our amazing Trinity River. We’ll paddle in kayaks and canoes, scuzz through wetlands, sample ponds, and give catch-and-release fishing a try to determine which fish species are present. Bring an extra pair of clothes: we will be getting dirty!

Toilet Training: All campers must be completely toilet trained (requiring no assistance in the bathroom). Our definition of toilet trained means that the child is not wearing pull-ups and is able to manage his or her own clothing by him or herself.

Medication: The Dallas Zoo and Children's Aquarium at Fair Park is NOT responsible for administering medication to children. Please give medication to your child prior to arriving at camp. Should your child need to self-administer medication during the camp day, you are required to bring the precise dosage in the original container with the prescription or you will need to come back to the Zoo or Aquarium to administer the medication. Camp staff cannot measure dosages nor administer medication to campers under any circumstance. For campers who need to carry an epi-pen or inhaler, please provide us with a copy of the prescription or written statement of medical necessity from the prescribing physician. Additionally, we will ask you to complete and sign an Allergy Action Plan that can be carried by your child's instructor.
